Master of ukelele, harmonica to perform at Dickson Mounds

The Hickory Ridge Concert Series presents Milwaukee folksinger and raconteur Lil Rev at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 17. Rev is an award winning master of the harmonica and the ukulele and a witty, engaging performer who is rapidly gaining national attention for entertaining and informative performances, a press release said.
Lil Rev's shows are fast paced and fun, covering a wide range of styles from Stephen Foster songs to Delta Holler Blues to the music of Tin Pan Alley. He was Hohner's 1996 National Blues Harmonica Champion and was inducted into The Traditional Old-Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2003.
He has been described as "an immensely talented and entertaining performer concise (whose) eloquent and witty introductions add to the fun! This man knows music, instruments, history, cultures, and most of all, how to engage and captivate an audience."
The Hickory Ridge Concert Series is hosted by singer-songwriter Chris Vallillo. Concerts are held the third Saturday of every month at Dickson Mounds Museum and begin at 7:30 p.m., with the museum lobby opening at 6:30 p.m. Coffee, drinks, and a variety of desserts are available during intermission. There is an admission charge that varies for adults and children under 12. Sitting is limited to the first 150 people.
