New Jazz Hip Hop from New Black Music Artist Niva

Niva the soul diva has released her fourth music video. Food Stamps is a jazz flavored hiphop video with a socially conscious theme. The Food Stamps song and video is about the grim realities of living in these bad economic times. On being interviewed about the project Niva stated, "Now is the time to make music with substance. Hard times is something that all kinds of people can relate." The food stamps video was produced by new black music.net and took two weeks to shoot. Video director Jonathan of new black music stated, "We shot a little at a time, I had a general idea and vision and then just worked on the ideas as they popped into my head."

The food stamps music video was shot in the Fort Green area of Brooklyn as well as the New York City subway. According to Niva the song tells her own personal story about being homeless and not having enough to eat when she was in houston texas. Niva stated that the songs demonstrates the emotional stress and depression that accompanies financial distress. Niva stated that she knows her music is different and she is glad that Niva the soul diva does not sound like everyone else.
