| Percussionist Paris Escovedo To Perform At Viper Room Universal Recording artist Paris Escovedo returns to West Hollywood with a rare performance at The Viper Room on Saturday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. This show kicks-off their summer CD release tour to support their new album "Hit Them Skins" "We look forward to bringing our unique brand of Latin Jazz to the Viper Room. We have a great show and a fantastic band composed of musicians who've played with greats like Ray Charles. We just hope to have enough room so people can dance" said Paris Escovedo from his recording studio in Los Angeles. Paris is the son of Thomas "Coke" Escovedo an original member of Santana. Coke Escovedo's musical legacy influenced luminaries such as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock. He founded and performed in top-charting groups such as Malo and Azteca before his untimely death in 1986. Paris' uncle is Pete Escovedo, (Santana) and is cousin to Sheila E. (Santana, Prince) He has performed, toured and recorded with Arrested Development, Angie Stone, Pink, Collective Soul, and Malo. The highly anticipated debut album from the next generation of Latin Jazz, The Paris Escovedo Project, is a trend setting global blend of Latin, Jazz, R & B, and Old School. The 10 piece band is composed of seasoned professionals from different genres of music. The Project is currently releasing their single "Latin Lady" on Universal Records and a music video of the same title. Paris's current projects includes a smooth jazz version of his father's penned Santana hit "No One to Depend On." He recently performed at the Victor Pantoja tribute with his uncle Pete Escovedo and cousin Sheila E. as part of a proud audience.
