Geneva College Jazz Band to Perform Annual "In the Mood" Concert

The Geneva College Jazz Band will once again present a concert of big band music from the 1930s and '40s on Saturday, April 10 at 8 p.m. in the John White Chapel on Geneva's campus. Titled "In the Mood XV: Big Band Music Returns, " this show will mark 15 years of consecutive swing concerts at Geneva College.

Directed by music professor Donald Kephart, the jazz band will perform favorite numbers from the big band era such as "Autumn Leaves, " "As Time Goes By" and "At Last."

The community is invited to attend but tickets are required. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students, and may be purchased or reserved through the Geneva College's Department of Music office from 8 to 11 a.m. or 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Call 724-847-6660. Tickets are limited for this high-demand concert.
