Terrence Richburg On Cover Of Gospel Synergy Magazine

Terrence Richburg, Gospel Jazz artist, producer, songwriter, instrumentalist and Stellar Award nominated label owner is preparing for an amazing 2010. Having ministered and played with such major artists as Richard Smallwood, Maurette Brown Clark, Yolanda Adams, The Winans, Shirley Caesar, Ben Tankard, Bobby Lyle, Nick Colionne, and many others, he's embarking on a series of firsts. He was just featured on his first magazine cover of the October 2009 issue of Gospel Synergy Magazine. The publication, focusing on the independent gospel artist, sets aside the month of October to commemorate the genre of Gospel Jazz. In addition to a cover story about Richburg, the magazine also features an article about Jazz Gospel Central, the resource Richburg created to inform and educate musicians and fans of the genre.

His upcoming Inspirational Jazz project features the 7-string bassist on close to 30 original compositions. The CD chronicles his diverse musical talents and career experiences to date. Guest artists are to include John Stoddart, Vanessa Williams, Amos Saint Jean and Richburg's brother Dehrric. Complementing the CD will be Richburg's first book, 'Intimacy'. The author will explore the power of intimacy as experienced in contemporary life situations, examine its dynamic application in human relationships and look at why God views it as so important.

The owner of RichEscape Music, Terrence Richburg is the son of former Atlantic recording artist The Richburg Singers, Wilhelmina and John, as well as Julius Richburg, and the nephew of Jazz legend Ronnie Wells. His label secured a 2009 Stellar Award nomination for the label's praise and worship artist, Terrell Hunt, for New Artist of the Year. Richburg got his start in the music industry at the age of 13 where he was the lead guitarist for a well-known gospel program called 'Spread A Little Sunshine'. Since then, the multi-talented instrumentalist has played with dozens of mainstream and sacred recording artists, has worked in several major theatrical productions, and has excelled as an arranger, a recording engineer and a minister of music. He's also the leader of two Gospel Jazz groups, Terrence Richburg & The Experience and R&R, featuring Richburg and saxophonist Howard Riley, Jr.
