Jazz things up with a break in London

Music enthusiasts staying in hotels in London this November will be in their element, with several exciting performances due to take place from a number of renowned musicians.The London Jazz Festival kicks off on November 13th and sees some of the world's top entertainers play at venues including the Barbican, the Southbank Centre and Kings Place.

Highlights of the ten-day event include Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil, saxophonist Sonny Rollins and vocalist Cleo Laine.

John Schofield's Piety Street Band and contemporary American jazz outfit Carla Bley and The Lost Chords are also set to take to the stage.

The festival is now in its 17th year and is organised in association with BBC Radio 3.

Some of the other highlights of the London events calendar for November include the Lord Mayor's Show, which takes place on the 14th and Top Gear Live, which will be held at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre from November 5th to 8th.
