Blue Jean Harmonica Was a Recent Hit on the Radio

Blue Jean Harmonica, a talented group of young musicians, will be performing an acoustic show near their hometown of Athens, Texas in The Showroom at Lake City Music, 111 N. Gun Barrel Lane-Gun Barrel City, TX. 75156 on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 7pm.

The band members, Scott Robertson (Lead guitar/vocals), Daniel Westmoreland (Rhythm guitar/harmonica), Darriel Montgomery (Keyboards/bass guitar), Bennie Snell (Drums/percussion), met while attending college at Trinity Valley Community College (Athens) as music majors. They have been performing together for two years in the Athens area, adored by many.

They are an up and coming band whose musical influences include Radiohead, The Black Crows, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cool Hand Luke, Fair to Midland, The Deftones, Leonard Cohen, Citizen Cope, Joe Firstman, Boston, Counting Crows, Frank Zappa and many more, which contributes to their interesting genre as a rock, blues and fusion band.

Today, the music industry seems to be more about marketing and appearances than it is the real foundation of music. BJH loves playing live where they can feel their audience. They want to inspire and one day, teach others. They play just for the love of playing.

Scott Robertson says, "If you take a bunch of genres that you like, and put them in a blender, and make a musical smoothie, the smoothie would taste something like our music sounds...which is unique, awesome, and like yogurt and strawberries." *

The band collectively believes, "This is the music you want. Something that reminds you of somewhere, sometime, with something or someone...that is what we offer. We love a good time, and wish to entertain and connect with people. We love what we do, and do it with everything we have. Hopefully, our music touches someone in some way, just as it has for us." *

Please come by and support this 'way beyond their years' band, along with other friendly, receptive fans. They will be giving out CDs of their music for your enjoyment.
