Reah Valente Launches Newest Album 'Psychedelic Cinema' in May

Brazilian born producer/composer/lyricist/singer Reah Valente tells listeners "Don't throw your kisses away" with the launch of her newest album, Psychedelic Cinema available for sale on CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, and other online stores on May 23, 2009.

Already stirring up quite a buzz, Reah was featured on CDBaby's Music Discovery podcast prior to the album's official release. Her title track 'Psychedelic Cinema' was selected from over 280, 000 artists currently selling their albums on CDBaby by editors Brad Bush and Kevin Breuner, a grammy nominated artist.

Reah Valente's new thirteen-track album has a characteristic musical style that is all her own - wherein her fusion of rock, pop, jazz and funk gives her a distinct and edgy sound. 'Psychedelic Cinema' is altogether vibrant and eclectic. From up-tempo and rhythmic (including 'Jaded Little Mind' and 'Gotta Let You Go'), to sensual and fun ('Undress Me'), to raw and sincere moving rock ballads (including 'Psychedelic Cinema' and '100, 000 Contos Sem Herois').

'Psychedelic Cinema' marks Reah's debut as a producer. Reah reflects, "to record and produce an entire album is harder than it seems. Not only did I have to mastermind, but I also needed to transform not what others want to see in me but what I saw in myself. To be critical and true to myself and my music."

Like a 'psychedelic killer drug', this album is hard to stop listening to. It is filled with honest lyrics, inventive bass lines, creative rhythms and lush orchestrals. Reah's voice lets out the light from a strikingly rich - and complex - soul. Her latest CD, 'Psychedelic Cinema' is proof of this.
