They are scheduled to appear at the The Sea Bird Jazz Lounge, 730 E. Broadway in Long Beach, CA on Saturday, March 28, 2009. In a career spanning more than three decades, gospel and jazz pianist Willie Daniels has forged a reputation for exploring the worlds of jazz, gospel and the music of his hometown, Memphis, finding in each the soul of musical expression. Daniels' performance will highlight new jazz music by the 2-Jazzy Crew and he will be accompanied by renowned jazz songbird Rita Shelby. Daniels' melodic chords and jazz interpretations harken back to the day when jazz was king. The single "Holding Down This Forty", co-written by Willie Daniels and Rita Shelby is rising the charts and has already reached steady rotation in major jazz radio markets.
