Tom Hood and The Trailmen Announce Release of New CD

The 2009 release of "Dust in Your Hands, " a new country rock music CD by Tom Hood and The Trailmen, is just what fans have been waiting for. "Dust in Your Hands" follows the well received 2008 release of "Riding into Town." Both CDs contain original music written by singer songwriter Tom Hood along with partners Paul Carden and Lauron Lewis.

"Their lineup of songs sets them apart from most rock acts with the addition of fiddle and mandolin both of which are well blended in the mix, " said a recent review on RadioIndy.com. "Don't expect any classic style cowboy tunes on 'Dust In Your Hands, ' because it's sheer rock/country entertainment."

The Trailmen perform frequently throughout the northeast to a growing fan base who have looked forward to this latest release. Several songs from the CDs are being played on college and internet radio stations across the country.

"The inspiration for the Trailmen came while I was writing a song that reminded me of my youth when I would watch the singing cowboys like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, " explained Hood. "There is a hint of that western style, but the band is really rooted in Americana, blues and rock. I spent a lot of time in the Bahamas and Mexico where I wrote some of the songs while nursing a hangover, or catching some fun in the sun."

"I owe many thanks to the very talented musicians who joined me in the recording studio, said Hood. "John Brzoza on lead guitar, Paul Gilmore on bass, Rodney Harris on Drums, Caitlin Durney on Fiddle, and Todd Grossman on Mandolin."
