Monarchs Pub Sings the Delta Blues

There is a new home for the Blues. Where? Downtown Toronto's Monarchs Pub, located within the Delta Chelsea Hotel. Beginning March 12, 2009 and continuing every Thursday in March and April, Jack de Keyzer & Jerome Godboo - two of Toronto's most renowned Blues musicians - come together with their electrifying band for three sets, starting at 9 PM.

Acclaimed Juno Award winning singer, guitarist and song writer Jack de Keyzer's has worked with artists as varied as King Biscuit Boy, Etta James,
Blue Rodeo, Robert Gordon, Otis Rush and the Bop Cats. As an entertainer Jack has performed to an ecstatic audience of 25, 000 at the Montreal Jazz Festival and an equally ecstatic audience of 250 at Hugh's Room in Toronto. He performs internationally over 150 shows per year showcasing blues, jazz, funky R&B and swing as part of his set.

Singer, songwriter and harp player Jerome Godboo has released twelve
albums over twenty years. Having recorded and toured with the Phantoms,
Alannah Myles, Jeff Healey, and Suzie McNeil, Jerome has performed on stages across Canada, the U.S., France, Finland, Portugal, Ukraine, Israel and beyond. Headlining at the Montreal Jazz Festival in 2005, he has also played the Air Canada Centre with Ronnie Hawkins electrifying audiences of all sizes.

Monarchs Pub is located at 33 Gerrard Street West, between Yonge & Bay
Streets.
