| The Jimi Homeless Experience - new songs One year after the release of their groundbreaking Hendrix parody album "Are You Homeless?", MK-Ultra Records artist The Jimi Homeless Experience is back in the recording studio working on new songs. This time around Jimi Homeless is looking to expand their comedy range by incorporating original songs written by creator/producer Jon Kinyon, singer Josh Curtis, and guitarist Jason DeCorse. Also on the slate are select cover songs such as the Sonny Boy Williamson blues classic "Good Morning Little School Girl" and "Life's a Bath" by John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. "We could have taken the obvious route and parodied more Hendrix songs, " said Jon Kinyon, principle lyricists for the group, "but that wouldn't be as challenging as trying to create original songs that stand out musically and also deliver on the comedy." Two of the tracks on the upcoming CD are being co-produced by San Francisco's famous Rondo Brothers (Jim Greer and Brandon Arnovick) who are known for producing and mixing tracks for such artists as Dr. Octagon, Deltron 3030, The Killers, and the New York Dolls. Recording sessions started last month at a private studio in Long Beach and are continuing at The Rondo's studio in Southern California's High Desert. The finished product will be available on iTunes and select retail outlets in time for Christmas. Actual physical copies of the CD are going to be sold directly to consumers on the band's official website: www.jimihomeless.com.
