Dewey Erney at The Vault VIP Lounge

The Vault VIP Lounge, located inside the OC Pavilion, is pleased to welcome local jazz legend Dewey Erney on Friday, August 3, 2007. Once a basement vault for a large bank, the Vault VIP Lounge has been transformed into an intimate jazz nightclub with hightop tables, leather sofas, and romantic lighting.

Dewey's vinyl recordings A Beautiful Friendship and The Second Set, with the brilliant guitarist Ron Eschet and his trio, received terrific acclaim and airplay (4 Stars by Leonard Feather of the LA Times). His five compact discs Standards of Excellence, volumes 1 thru 5, are receiving kudos for the sheer musicality and honesty displayed. Dewey has all the necessary elements that make a great singer: an excellent voice, phrasing and sense of timing, proper use of dynamics, clear diction, honest heartfelt emotion, musical integrity, and great taste in the material he selects. He truly loves the music he sings and he persuades you to love it too. The music is an extension of him as a person. Dewey probably has a larger repertoire than any other singer on the planet. He knows well over 1,000 songs by memory and can interpret them in his own distinctive way.

The Vault VIP Lounge is Orange County's newest jazz club, featuring locally acclaimed jazz musicians and offering the ambiance of a five star venue. The Vault VIP Lounge Friday Night Jazz requires a $10 cover charge or free entrance with a dinner purchase in the world class Ambrosia Restaurant. Rare, imported beers, fine wines and premium cocktails are available for purchase along with a menu of salads, appetizers, desserts and a Chef's Selection of Artisan Cheeses from around the world.
