| Second CD of 9-Year-Old Israeli Jazz Pianist Ariel Kadima Collective Records releases Origami, the second CD of 9-year-old Israeli pianist, Ariel. The first CD, 31 Bars, also from KCR, featured Ariel's music at the age of 8. Origami shows Ariel a year later, this time alone at the piano. The music displays the influence of Ariel's favorite pianists -- Matthew Shipp, John Hicks, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Bojan Z., Kirk Lightsey, Aaron Goldberg, and others. All but three of the tunes are Ariel's original music. Ariel is a student at the Jerusalem Conservatory of Music, where he studies classical piano, violin, and composition. He is also experimenting on his own with guitar, double bass, drums, and electronic music.
