The URB ALT Festival 07

The Village Voice recently stated that the URB ALT Festival features artists who are ”exemplars of boundary crossing, synthesis and unification.” The fourth and final night of the URB ALT Festival showcases the mutant rock-soul-jazz-classical stalwarts of MuthaWit performing with special guests in homage to the Maestro of Love, Barry White.

URB ALT founder states that “Barry White's artistry has transcended genre and time by expertly walking the fine line between high art and a wink. I dare anyone to deny Barry White's funky grooves, sensual string arrangements and ability to set a mood for procreation.” This exciting July 21st event also displays the award-winning short film, “Slapboxin: Quickness of the Hand,” the computer generated animations of Italy based visual artist Roy Lagrone, the live q3d animations of “Harbinger” feature film director Tim Fielder and the visual projections of Lyndon Barrois, animation director of the Matrix series.

The URB ALT Festival 07 evening will close with a celebratory jam session displaying an amazing stew of musical talents passing strange musical sounds from the NYC, Nigerian, British, Atlantan and Canadian underground. Keep your eyes and ears open for members of the Family Stand, Otto Fischer, the Negro Problem, Devi, Faith, Tenderhead, Intention and others. The night promises to be multi-cultural, cross- generational, gender representative and crazy fun.

URB ALT is Underground Railroad Broadcasting Alternatives, a music/ film series and media company founded by Boston Fielder in 1998 to serve the creator and audience seeking uncut entertainment and artistic expression. URB ALT has offered transcendant visuals and revolutionary music to enthusiastic attendees throughout Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Los Angeles and New York.
