Brian Setzer Orchestra - 'Wolfgang's Big Night Out '

On September 25th, Surfdog Records will release 'Wolfgang's Big Night Out, ' the Brian Setzer Orchestra's rollicking and swinging collection of mostly instrumental rock and roll versions of the greatest and most recognizable classical compositions in music history.

While Setzer's extensive catalog already includes the Grammy-nominated "Nutcracker Suite" and "Angels We Have Heard on High, " this groundbreaking new work features the remarkable singer, songwriter, guitarist and bandleader taking on an entire album of timeless classical music. 'Wolfgang's Big Night Out" showcases 12 dynamic songs ranging from "Take the Fifth, " based on Beethoven's "Fifth Symphony, " to explosive adaptations of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" and Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik."

Because the Brian Setzer Orchestra have become such a phenomenal holiday tradition, Surfdog Records will rerelease their chart-topping Christmas classics 'Dig That Crazy Christmas' ("undeniably cool" – Chicago Sun Times) and 'Boogie Woogie Christmas' ("best all-around holiday album" – New York Post) as well as the 'Christmas Extravaganza' DVD this fall.

Brian Setzer, "the new king of jingle bell rock" (Billboard), will launch his big band's sixth annual Christmas Extravaganza tour in Syracuse, NY on November 17. Following last year's completely sold out Christmas tour, the group's one-of-a-kind exhilarating show has grown to 31 dates.

A three-time Grammy Award winner, Brian Setzer has enjoyed a career spanning over 25 years. First reaching world attention as the frontman for the legendary Stray Cats, remarkably it was Setzer's solo work that brought him even more success. Known for single-handedly reviving two forgotten genres of music, rockabilly and swing, Setzer's solo career is highlighted by a string of acclaimed and best-selling albums including 1998's triple platinum 'The Dirty Boogie.' In addition, he has consistently packed concert halls with both his 18-piece big band and trio.
