Raul Malo's Concert Tour

Raul Malo, recently called "one of the most memorable voices of the last dozen years" by the LA Times, is taking the country classics on his new disc 'After Hours' to the fans with a pair of release week shows followed by a US tour that stretches out over two months. On July 17th Malo will take the stage at LA's El Rey Theatre for an album release show. That same day New Door Records/UMe will release the golden voiced crooners collection of 10 of his all-time favorite country tunes.

After the El Rey show the "force of nature" (EW) will make a dash to Austin, TX for an in-store performance the next night at legendary Waterloo Records & Video. Malo and his band will then head back home to Nashville, TN where they'll prepare for a two month US tour, which kicks off with two nights in NYC on the Rockin' the River Cruise. Malo will also be part of a tribute to Buck Owens, whose legendary "Cryin Time" is one of the standout tracks on 'After Hours, ' in Bakersfield, CA on August 14, and he'll appear at the Austin City Limits festival in September.

'After Hours' features Malo's swinging and seductive take on ten of his all-time favorite country classics. "(Now And Then There's) A Fool Such As I" jumps and swings under jazzy horn stabs and Malo's rich baritone. "Pocket Of A Clown" casually meanders like the heartbroken fool in the lyrics, and "Husbands and Wives" is the perfect soundtrack for sitting at the end of the bar, lamenting the demise of a relationship.
