Ann Wilson's Solo Record

Ann Wilson has finished work on her first solo album, set for release September 11 by Rounder Records. Produced by Ben Mink (k.d. lang, Feist, Bare Naked Ladies), 'Hope Glory' features one of the best known voices in rock singing classic rock (Pink Floyd's "Goodbye Blue Sky", Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song") and folk (Bob Dylan's "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall", John Lennon's "Isolation") covers as well as one new original song called "Little Problems Little Lies."

Wilson also recruited luminaries Elton John, k.d. lang, Wynonna, Gretchen Wilson, Alison Krauss, Deana Carter, Rufus Wainwright, Shawn Colvin and sister Nancy Wilson to duet with her on these poignant selections.

Wilson continues to front the legendary band Heart with guitarist and sister Nancy Wilson. The duo made their mark in the early '70s with hits like "Crazy on You" and "Barracuda". In the '80s, Heart found even greater success with MTV and radio hits such as "Alone" and "These Dreams." A perennial touring favorite, Heart continues to write and record 30 years into their career.
