Ernie & Neal Rock the House

This December will bring the release of Ernie & Neal's fifth album, "Rock the House". For the New Jersey-based band, known for their high-energy live performances and all-ages friendly repertoire, "Rock The House" follows in the tradition of its previous recordings, introducing young audiences to many genres of music (rock, jazz, ska, reggae, blues and more).

"We write music we like to listen to with lyrics and themes that kids can relate to… and, of course, it's always fun to just let your hair down and... ROCK, !" says band co-founder Ernie Jewell.

The "Rock the House" EP is designed to showcase the band's musical diversity, according to the band's other co-founder Neal Petti. As he explains it, Ernie & Neal's approach to music is to look at the world through kid's eyes and with that understanding, offer some helpful advice on living and enjoying life. "Rock the House" holds true to this method, addressing subjects like friends and fun, all while introducing kids to a diverse range of music.

Songs like "Monkey Dance" are all about fun and movement, reminding listeners that nothing beats a good dance song that invites you to let go, act a little silly, and have fun. "My Cat" is the culmination of several different song-writing workshops Ernie & Neal hosted at various schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Each verse in "My Cat" has a different melody line and lyrics written by students in each of these sessions.

"Rock the House" is a worthy successor to the band's 2005 release, "Rock & Roll Band". Look out for the "Rock the House" and for Ernie & Neal rockin' out live in a neighborhood near you.
