Frank Sinatra Enterprises and YouTube Spin Vegas Contest

YouTube, a consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos through a Web experience, has partnered with Frank Sinatra Enterprises to launch the "Come Fly Away With Frank Sinatra" contest. The YouTube community is licensed and encouraged to create a video using Frank Sinatra's classic hit "Come Fly With Me", whether it's crooning, dancing, lip synching, creating a film, making a music video or performing a smashing rendition of his famous song.

Entrants will be supplied a free download of "Come Fly With Me" from the newly released "Sinatra: Vegas", a 4-CD/1-DVD boxed set of previously unreleased live Vegas performances. Submissions begin today for the contest and end December 18. The winning video will be hand-picked by the Sinatra family and the winner will be flown to Las Vegas for an all-expense paid trip of lights, glitz and glamour.

"Sinatra Enterprises has historically worked with film school students and young film makers who desired to incorporate Dad's music in their films. Most of those films are seen only by film festival aficionados", said Tina Sinatra. "YouTube offers a worldwide theatre to these filmmakers. The exigencies of time and licensing do not by necessity lend themselves to this type of an arrangement often. We look forward to the creativity and participation of the YouTube community for the 'Come Fly Away With Frank Sinatra' contest."

"One of our missions at YouTube is to bring music fans closer than ever to their favorite artists and performers. We are thrilled to partner with the Sinatra Family to allow our community to connect with Frank Sinatra's timeless music in a new and entertaining way", said Julie Supan, senior director of marketing, YouTube. "Frank Sinatra has inspired millions of people around the world with his music and as far as we are aware, this contest marks the first time that an estate has sought to have an artist's musical legacy integrated into today's participatory video culture."
