DeVos Live Broadcast

Savant Recording Artist Bob DeVos will perform at Live@J&R at 23 Park Row, NYC on Tuesday, November 14th with a live broadcast over WBGOJazz88.3FM and streaming on WBGO.org. Rhonda Hamilton of WBGO's Mid-Day Jazz will host this free performance and speak with Bob about his latest Savant release, Shifting Sands, with Dan Kostelnik on Hammond B3, Steve Johns on drums and guest artists tenor saxophone great Eric Alexander and Gary Fritz on percussion. Breaking the Ice, Bob's previous Savant release garnered four-and-a half stars and rave reviews throughout the jazz media and persists as a guitar-organ classic.

Guitarist-composer Bob DeVos is critically hailed as "a master with a sound to die for--rich, full, deep, positive, round and warm--a brilliant knowing bebop player." At Live@J&R, Bob will be playing a blues-drenched blend of his original tunes, ballads, and jazz standards with his regular powerhouse organ group with Dan Kostelnik on Hammond B3 organ and Steve Johns on drums.

"I play, compose, and arrange to explore a new potential of the Hammond B3 organ trio genre without losing the tradition, the spirit, and--at heart--the blues feel of the great organ trios I came up with"--Bob DeVos
