KEM's European Tour

R&B star KEM sold out his performance in Malmo, Sweden packing Klubb Lovin this past Saturday and again in Stockholm last night. Introducing KEM, a series of showcases in clubs across Europe, is a promotional tour coordinated and managed by KEM and his team in order to reach out to new audiences. The shows have attracted a variety of soul music lovers ranging in age from 19 to 60.

"The reaction to KEM in Scandinavia has been awesome!!" said Vivian Scott Chew, tour coordinator and president of Time Zone International. "What was most surprising was the amount of people that already knew ALL -- not some -- of the lyrics to the songs. All this demonstrates is that real music lovers will go to any length to find the music that they love and want. I am certain that KEM will be an artist in demand in 2007 throughout Europe."

KEM's two Gold Record-selling CDs, Kemistry and KEM Album II, have made their way into the homes of Europeans by way of online and import sales and independent retailers whose niche is rare, hard-to-find or "bubbling under" music to the tune of just under 20, 000 CDs sold collectively. In 2003, KEM made a brief appearance during two sold out shows at the famous "breaking ground" for acts being introduced on the European Scene, the London Jazz Cafe. Now, with the recent remixes of two of KEM's popular songs, "Heaven" and "I Can't Stop Loving You" capturing the interest of promoters overseas along with a European request for a remix of "Love Calls" from KEM's debut CD, the time has come for the artist and entrepreneur to pursue an international audience.

After last night's London show, remaining stops on KEM's tour include Amsterdam, Netherlands (Nov. 11); New Castle-Upon-Tyne, UK (Nov. 12); Hamburg, Germany (Nov. 15); Paris, France (Nov. 16); and Rome, Italy (Nov. 19). KEM is performing with members of his Detroit-based band including David McMurray (Sax); Al Turner (bass); Ron Otis (drums); and Quentin Baxter (guitar). This tour is routed by Time Zone International in coordination with KEM and Project Producers, LLC. Admission is free to all shows except in New Castle and Rome. Times vary from venue to venue.
