Savage and Molinaro Sign with Robert Rund

Pianists Matt Savage and Anthony Molinaro have recently been named to the prestigious client list of Robert Rund, Arts Consultant. Matt Savage is a 14-year-old jazz prodigy who has been hailed by Dave Brubeck as "another Mozart." Molinaro is an award-winning classical pianist who has captured the attention of the jazz world with two recent record releases. Rund, who continues to represent pianist Fred Hersch and vocalist Jubilant Sykes, has also worked with such distinguished artists as Luciana Souza, Paul Winter, the Westminster Choir and others.

Arts Consultant Robert Rund announced today that he will be serving as exclusive North American representative to pianists Matt Savage and Anthony Molinaro.

Matt Savage, a jazz prodigy, has been hailed by Dave Brubeck as "another Mozart." Matt Savage keeps good company with the music of the jazz greats, past and present. His enormous respect for their legendary bodies of work inspires and fuels his own unique jazz compositions and interpretations. As People Magazine astutely wrote in 2002, "...jazz phenom Matt Savage unlocks a door to genius using 88 keys." With the release of each album, Matt has challenged "genius" by exploring and expanding his creative boundaries. At the age of 14, Matt continues to have vision and technique beyond his years as a composer and musician. His recent release, Quantum Leap, launches yet another chapter in Matt Savage's musical evolution as fans celebrate his prodigious rise in the world of jazz.

Anthony Molinaro's renown spans both the jazz and classical worlds. Winner of the prestigious Naumberg International Piano Competition in 1997, Molinaro has gone on to record two critically acclaimed jazz recordings including Blue, a collection of songs by George Gershwin, and most recently, Live, a duo album with diatonic harmonic genius Howard Levy, formerly of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Whether in jazz or classical settings, Molinaro has performed in premiere concert hall, jazz clubs and with orchestras throughout the world, and has been labeled "one of the hottest young pianists in the world."

"I am honored to be working with both of these extraordinary pianists. A common thread among the artists I have worked with is the multi-dimensional abilities", said Rund. Both Anthony and Matt are incredible pianists, but in addition are both formidable composers, adding their voice to the greater musical repertoire. Transcending style and genre, these artists are simply musicians of the highest caliber, and that keeps me inspired to do all that I can to help their careers."
