Continuum Sax and Match Percussion in Sydney

Continuum Sax and Match Percussion present a scintillating musical stirfry of saxophones and percussion on Saturday October 21, 2006 at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney, Australia. The concert will feature a new collaborative work inspired by the music of the free jazz saxophonist Albert Ayler alongside works for smaller groups of saxophones and percussion by Philippe Laval, Perry Goldstein, Barry Cockcroft, and Toru Takemitsu. The combination of saxophone and percussion creates a vast palette of sounds that are exploited by the composing and improvising talents of Daryl Pratt, Margery Smith and Martin Kay. This collaboration will be a truly unique musical experience.
