Legends Of Jazz ''Showcase'' On Blu-ray Disc

LRSmedia announced that it will release the critically-acclaimed Legends Of Jazz ''Showcase'' on Blu-ray Disc. "Showcase" features 13 stunning performances from the TV series Legends Of Jazz hosted by pianist and composer Ramsey Lewis (see photo) and produced by award-winning music producer and LRSmedia co-chairman Larry Rosen. This ground-breaking debut Blu-ray Disc will be promoted worldwide via a strategic marketing agreement with Samsung Electronics.

"Showcase" on Blu-ray Disc highlights 13 extraordinary live performances featured in the TV series Legends Of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis that aired on PBS stations nationwide beginning in April 2006. "Showcase" brings to life some of the nation's biggest names in Jazz and Blues such as Al Jarreau, Chris Botti, David Sanborn, Chick Corea, Robert Cray, and Dave Brubeck, and features combinations of artists who in many cases have never performed together before. These once-in-a-lifetime collaborations and performances were shot in multi-camera high-definition TV with Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound to provide the highest quality viewing and listening experience.

"In the past I had the opportunity to help launch the delivery of music from the LP to the CD, and today at LRSmedia we are taking a leadership role by releasing high definition music content on Blu-ray", said Larry Rosen. "Capturing the electrifying performances by these amazing Legends Of Jazz artists on Blu-ray is a truly unique demonstration of this revolutionary format. For the first time music consumers at home can experience what we see in the studio...it's thrilling."

The 13 live performances making their high definition debut are: 1. "Take Five" Al Jarreau and Kurt Elling; 2. "My Funny Valentine" Chris Botti; 3.
