Canadian Guitar Festival and Fingerstyle Guitar Competition

The 3rd annual Canadian Guitar Festival once again takes to the stage with many homegrown and international guitarists on July 21st-23rd at The Odessa Fair Grounds (11 kms west of Kingston near Highway 401). Some performers include 2005 Juno Award winner and three-time nominee Robert Michaels; East Coast Music Award winner J.P. Cormier; Artist of the Year 2000 and 2002 from the Music Industry Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Duane Andrews; Italian virtuoso Pino Forastiere; Norwegian song- writer Kerstin Blodig; Scotland's Ian Melrose; Canadian-based singer/songwriter Andrew White from New Zealand, American virtuoso Michael Chapdelaine - the only guitarist ever to win First Prize in the world's top competitions in both the Classical and Fingerstyle genres; and Canadian legend Don Ross who has been touring with the "Men of Steel" whom have just released their newest CD four way mirror.

July 23rd, 10:00am - 4:00pm The Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition. Up to 24 undiscovered players will compete for the title of Canadian Finger Style Guitar Champion and prizes worth over $12,000 dollars.
