F5 East Coast Tour

From Thursday, July 6 through Tuesday, July 11 F5 will headline a brief tour on the east coast with Mark Rizzo and the Alex Skolnick Trio. The band will perform in support of their debut album "A Drug for All Seasons".

Making their way down the west coast, through Texas, Colorado, and Iowa, F5 will meet up with their tour mates in Albany, NY. The tour schedule goes through New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and will finish up in Pennsylvania on July 11, 2006.

F5's album was released in the U.S. in September 2005, while April 2006 began the airing of the video for the single "Dissidence" on MTV2. Celebrating F5's mantra "to be heavy, but always melodic, " they stayed true to their musical vision with a sound all their own. Fans of previous projects by members David Ellefson (bass), Dale Steele (vocals), Steve Conley (lead guitar), John Davis (rhythm guitar), and Dave Small (drums) have welcomed the fresh sound from this group. Bob Nalbandian reviewed the album on Shockwaves, stating: "F5 are a powerful and talented band that definitely know how to rock."

F5 will be indulging northeast audiences to the rare opportunity to enjoy these special performances. Each group possesses strong metal backgrounds, yet all draw from multiple genres assuring to win over listeners no matter what their musical preference. Mark Rizzo's project is an instrumental ranging from Jazz to Flamenco to Metal. While Alex Skolnick may be best known for his stint with metal band Testament, the Alex Skolnick Trio features a distinctive spin on Jazz. Though Jazz is a recurring theme on this tour, each show is sure to rock especially with F5 closing each night!
