12th Annual SA Music Awards Nominees Album

The 12th Annual SA Music Awards Nominees album is jam-packed with enough hits to keep fans happy until the next edition of this must-have compilation. At a massive 20 tracks, the value-for-money album is stunning showcase of the diversity of music genres that make South African music industry one of the most exciting in the world, taking in everything from Afro-Pop to Gospel, Adult Contemporary, Kwaito, Hip-hop, Jazz, Roots and many more musical styles.

The hugely popular Malaika are up for four awards in this year's event, one of them being Most Popular Song of the Year for "Muntuzu (2 Bob)" which is the opening song on the Nominees album. Freshlyground, who earned two Best Music Video nominations this year for "I'd Like" and "Doo Be Doo", are also featured with the inclusion of "Doo Be Doo" sure to please the Cape Town group's many fans. Another Best Music Video nominee, Zamajobe, also makes a welcome appearance on the Nominees album, contributing her much loved song, "Ndawoyami".

Ntando, who has proved himself to be one of the country's most adored solo performers, adds his Afro-pop flavour to the album with the song "Dali Wam", which is also in contention for Most Popular Song of the Year as is Best Newcomer nominee, Brickz's "Sweety My Baby", and Best Duo or Group nominee Revolution's "Light of My Life".

Jazz is represented by Judith Sephuma ("Mme Motswadi") and Jimmy Dludlu ("Corners of my Soul"), both frontrunner nominees at this year's event along with five-time nominee Arno Carstens whose radio hit, "Hole Heart" is also included on the 12th Annual MTN SA Music Awards Nominee Album.

Best Newcomer nominees Kwani Experience contribute "De Ja Vu", adding their singular jazz-funk-hip-hop flavour to the album and Best Newcomer and Most Popular Artist of the Year nominee Pro-Kid is represented by the track "Wozobona". More hip-hop comes courtesy of HHP and his track "Mzabalazo" taken off the Best Rap Album-nominated Yba To Nw and the title track from Zola's Best Kwaito Album-nominated Ibutho is another great addition to the Nominees album.

Add in hot songs from hugely popular artists like Brown Dash, Kurt Darren, Watershed, Unathi, Lusanda Spiritual Group, Lebo and Shwi Nomtekhala and you have nothing short of a memorable collection of outstanding South African music.
