City Canyons Records at Red Lion

City Canyons Records brings in the fabulous Alrights all the way from Minnesota, gets the Randy Bandits to return for an encore performance and has Red Lion favorites Carrie Ashton, Jen Elliott and Anne Husick back for more, all at the Eleventh City Canyons Showcase at New York's Red Lion tomorrow night, Tuesday, March 28

City Canyons Records in conjunction with Black Dog Promotions and the New York City Guitar School presents one of the most exciting young bands in America along with some other top-flight independent musicians. First to perform is the dynamic Carrie Ashton, offering an acoustic version of her terrific original rootsy rock plus a heapin' helping of her usual charismatic performance style. Next up are the rollicking Randy Bandits. The Bandits' style swings from rock to country to bluegrass to jazz to soul to blues to gospel with lots of hybrids, a jillion instruments traded amongst them, and soaring vocal harmonies.

Following the Randy Bandits will be a very special treat -- City Canyons Records' headlining act The Alrights fresh from a western tour and now bringing the best of contemporary alternative rock to Manhattan. This dynamic Minnesota trio consists of Toby Churchill on vocals, guitar and keys, Danny Cosgrove on bass and vocals and Chad "Chavo" Amborn on drums. The band creates catchy, memorable, original material with songs varying in style from soulful funk to straightforward cutting edge rock and much in between.

Closing out the evening, will be the brilliant songwriting team of Jen Elliott and Anne Husick, performing songs from Jen's hard-hitting and soulful new EP, This Damn Song to be formally released on April 4. The EP will be available to Red Lion audiences at a special discounted price.
