Lee Roy Parnell's "Back To The Well"

Lee Roy Parnell's new studio album, Back To The Well, will be released by Universal South Records on March 7, 2006. A very personal work, this record finds Parnell back to his West Texas roots in blue-eyed soul. Fittingly, Parnell will perform on the night of the CD's release at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York.

Back To The Well is a collection of songs with soulful depth ... songs Parnell wrote about family, mature relationships, redemption, reflection, values and priorities. The bluesy collection is fueled by Lee Roy's powerful, emotional vocal attack, which in turn is bolstered by his instrumental voice, the wailing slide guitar. Truly, this record reflects the artist Parnell has always been.

2006 finds him back to his roots, writing his songs and making his living playing live music, just as he did when he arrived in Nashville 18 years ago. Still playing 150 mostly sold-out shows a year. Playing a bluesy set of his originals, with the biggest of his hits seamlessly integrated. "Love Without Mercy, " "Leave A Tender Moment" and "On The Road" are, after all, rooted in the bluesy swagger that has always typified Parnell's artistry.
