Solo CD Release for Guitarist Randal V. Wilson

Out of the wealth of musicians in the Metro Detroit area comes Randal "Velvet" Wilson, Guitarist/Songwriter and Voice Talent. Randal has been performing in the Metro Detroit Area for more than 10 years. He divides his time performing and recording with Vocalist Lashell Griffin, Oprah Winfrey's Pop Star Challenge Winner, Port of Call a local Jazz/R&B group, the Musical Director for Neo-Soul Recording Artist Inohs Savid as well as the Production Director, Air Talent and Director of Community Affairs for Mix 92.3 FM/ WMXD Detroit.

Randal has had the pleasure of recording with Partners in Praise, David Ivey, Ernst Lee & The Spirit of David, Straight Gate's "Faith in The House", LaShell Griffin, Guy Ensley and many others.

Randal has also been blessed to share the stage and perform with BrianMcKnight, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Fred Hammond, T.D. Jakes, Lenny White, Karen Clark-Sheard, Marion Meadows, Vickie Winans, Ralph Armstrong, Dettrick Haddon, Dorothy Norwood, Roxanne Jordan, Ollie-Ali Woodson former lead singer with the Temptations, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Buddy Budson, Don Mayberry, Partners in Praise, Dezi McCullers, Robert Norwood, Port of Call, Steven Ford and Twinkie Clark to name a few.

Having studied briefly with many of his Guitar Heroes like Pat Metheny, John Abercrombie, Larry Coryell and Ron English has helped him to develop personally and professionally as a master guitarist.

The CD “Time Well Spent” is his first solo release. It represents the time, heart, soul, ability and energy it takes to become a professional, respected musician.

His musical goals are simple ~ "I want to record and perform music that will be enjoyed and analyzed long after I'm gone".
