Infected Mushroom in Los Angeles. Crowd is in Psychedelic Trance!

Infected Mushroom, aka “The Masters of Psychedelic Trance, ” have plenty to be happy about. Not only have they stormed into the Top 100 DJs as 2005's highest new entry, at a respectable number 26 but, they also have yet another album in the works - their long awaited artist album. This album follows the 1998 debut, 'The Gathering, ' 2000's symphonic dream world 'Classical Mushroom' double LP, 'Converting Vegetarians, ' which was released in 2002, and the melodic pop-slanted electro hybrids of last year’s 'I’m the Supervisor'. When asked about the new album, Duvdev simply states, "We will be going in a new direction, not just psychedelic trance, but we’d like to be seen as an electronic band".

Energetic shows, dancing midgets, electric guitars and heavy metal trance melodies are all in a night’s performance by Erez Eizen and Amit Duvdevani (aka Duvdev) aka the Infected Mushroom boys. When asked about their new position in the Top 100 DJs chart, Duvdev humbly replies, "It was a very big surprise coming in as the highest new entry. It’s a very influential chart; we've been working hard so we're very happy that we have taken another step."

These boys have played across the globe in which last year’s highlights included Sao Paulo in Brazil, playing to an audience of over 30, 000 people, and also Miami's infamous Ultra Festival. Now for 2006, watch out for Infected Mushroom as they will be showcasing their new material at the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles on Thursday, February 9th, 2006. The show will include a few surprises; heavy metal elements, Duvdev on vocals, combinations of trance, rock, and hip-hop. Expect pulsing psy-rhythms with flamenco guitars as just of one of the treats for the night!
