Pam and Jobari Parker at Blues Alley

The Imagine Band will follow their sold out July performance with an encore at world renowned Blues Alley. Pam and Jobari Parker effortlessly harmonize and trade solos as they share stories of love, heartache, peace, and justice.

Pam spent many years as a folk/protest singer in her native DC, but has recently returned to the music of her roots -- Jazz and R & B. Although, the genre has changed she has often incorporated peace and justice tunes into the repertoire of the band in the spirit of Nina Simone. She will be accompanied on stage by her son Jobari an experienced performer at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and cities throughout Italy. Davey Yarborough is a fixture on the national Jazz scene. He is the sound of the Cosby Show theme song and a sought after educator and performer. The instrumentalists are accomplished musicians who have collectively performed with national acts, authored operas and musicals, been educators and mentors, been featured in Jazz venues around the country, and collaborated on many successful CDs -- including the ndependent "Imagine" produced by Ms. Parker.
This band, which sold out their first appearance at Blues Alley, ended the show to a standing ovation. Join them on November 10, 2005 at Blues Alley
