Jennifer York Joins ``The Family Friendly Morning Show''

Jennifer York, award-winning TV and radio personality best known to Southern California viewers for her 13-year run as the vivacious airborne news reporter on the "KTLA Morning News, " joins Los Angeles radio veteran Billy Burke on "The Family Friendly Morning Show" heard on 95.9 KFSH-FM The Fish. Jennifer will make her 95.9 KFSH-FM debut on Tuesday, October 11.

"Jennifer's passionate persona and sense of humor will play well with Billy Burke's energetic, easy-going style. We look forward to seeing the morning show's popularity expand even further."

Jennifer's initial radio experience, with news station KFWB, developed her traffic and spot news skills. The first woman airborne traffic reporter to fly in a helicopter, Jennifer joined the KTLA Morning News team in 1991, perched aboard an Aerospacial 350-B called Skycam 5. Her entertaining, accurate and credible reporting style led her to become a household name, as she contributed to developing the KTLA Morning News as the leader in Southern California morning news television. York's coverage of earthquakes, floods, riots and fires have won her numerous Emmys and several Golden Mike Awards.
A professional electric and acoustic bassist, Jennifer has recorded two albums with the all-woman Christian rock group "Rachel Rachel" on Word Records and most recently, two albums with her jazz group, "The York Quartet." The group has been together for 11 years, performing at jazz clubs and festivals throughout Southern California. They have opened for John Tesh and most recently at the Anaheim Pond for Boney James, Macy Grey and Seal.
