14th Annual Pride Sunset Jazz Series

Paul Collins Artist Management International and Kansas City’s own JuanDre Music Group featuring “VIBE” are pleased to announce their participation in the 14th Annual Pride Sunset Jazz Series presented by Wachovia and held in Charlotte, North Carolina. This high profile jazz series starts September 9, 2005 and runs all weekend. It is normally spread over a month of weekends in association with the annual Charlotte Shout. This format change from one month, to one concentrated weekend will be good for all involved. Torrey Feimster, Series Organizer says, “The new format enables us to reach a larger demographic which will include a diverse audience of jazz lovers. The concentrated weekend will create higher visibility for sponsors and will bring visitors to the city from throughout the region.”

Robert Krumbine, Executive Director of Charlotte Shout is also pleased about the change and partnership. “Charlotte Shout is proud to welcome the Pride Jazz Festival as a key component of the celebration. The festival’s move out of the summer and into September allows us the opportunity to add a strong and diverse event to Charlotte Shout. Partnering with the Pride Jazz Festival also allows us to bring back one of the cornerstones of Shout as we first envisioned it. Now, jazz is back at Charlotte Shout!”

Music impresario Paul Collins from Kansas City adds, “We are extremely pleased to be apart of and to collaborate with the Pride Sunset Jazz Series and Charlotte Shout. What the cultural leaders and sponsors in Charlotte are doing for jazz and the performing arts is most notable. To enjoy the cultural sites and hear the sounds of music from other international artists such as Roland Guerin, Maria Howell, Will Jackson, and Stephen Charles will be a real treat for our music lovers coming to Charlotte for the festival.”
