The Avenue of the Peninsula Hosts Summer Concert Series

The Avenue of The Peninsula® will feature a variety of live musical entertainment, from Caribbean steel drums to Flamenco and Gypsy rhythms every weekend during the summer months of June, July and August. Music performances will take place from 12 PM until 4 PM and will be held throughout The Avenue.

The island sounds of Caribbean steel drums performed by "Island Groovin" can be heard on June 18-19, July 16-17 and August 13-14. The sound of "Dirk K's" smooth jazz will play on July 9-10, August 6-7 and August 20-21. "Emilio Castillo" will feature flamenco and gypsy rhythms on August 27-28. The contemporary sounds of "The Hit Squad" will entertain listeners on June 2. The sounds of "The Gordon Halligan Duo" will entertain on the weekends of Saturday, June 25, July 23-24 and Saturday, July 30. "The Rick Michael Duo" will feature keyboard, bass and vocals on June 26, July 3 and July 31.

The Avenue is a three-level, 374,000-square-foot, pedestrian-friendly, open-air specialty center with more than 50 stores and restaurants including Saks Fifth Avenue, Borders Books and Music, Equinox Fitness Club & Spa, Regal Cinemas, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Gap, J. Crew, J. Jill, Katelyn's, Origins, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Sharper Image, Talbots, White House/Black Market and Williams-Sonoma.

The Avenue of The Peninsula is located in Rolling Hills Estates on Silver Spur Road between Hawthorne and Crenshaw Boulevard. It is accessible from Crenshaw or Hawthorne Boulevard exits off of the 405 freeway, or from the Pacific Coast Highway exit off of the Harbor 110 freeway.
