Eastern Europe Music Convention

From 15-18.06.2005 several parties and conferences take place during EEMC in St. Petersburg. For the first time in Russia EEMC will launch the Russian DJ Awards in cooperation with MTV and Ultimate DJ Gear (UDG). The event take place on the 17th of June at the JET SET BEACH CLUB at the countryside of St. Petersburg. All EEMC participants are able to join the party for free with shuttle busses from the LenExpo. As a musical highlight GLOBAL DEEJAYS, MOONBOOTICA & Superstar DJ & Team (GER) are going to perform live on stage.

MTV Russia will be official Media partner of EEMC 2005. They will have their own MTV stand at EEMC and do a live tv-coverage of the convention at the time. MTV: Music Television is the world s most-watched television network, reaching 384 million households around the globe. Launched on 26 September 1998, MTV Russia is a 24-hour Russian language service seen in 25 million households in over 400 cities, throughout Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Republic of Moldova and Russia. It became the first western television network customized specifically for Russian youth, featuring a mixture of music videos from Russia and international artists, as well as pro-social initiatives and long form programming, broadcast locally from its Moscow base. MTV is the leading music channel in Russia.

Three weeks before the first convention, the EEMC management already presents their eventactivities for EEMC 2006. Next years EEMC will present to its participants Open Air Festivals with international superstars and an EEMC Awardshow. More detailed information about EEMC 2006 will be presented at the convention in June.

As the EEMC management announced today, there will be set up five new EEMC local departments in London, Paris, New York, Sydney and Peking next to the existing departments in Germany and Russia. Other local departments are planned for the future. It is important for us to be internationally represented. We are just following the signs of the times. , said Tobias Dannappel, managing director EEMC Headquarter central Europe.

EEMC agreed a long term media partnership with ISC! ISC is an annual songwriting competition that provides songwriters the opportunity to gain exposure in the international arena. In addition to a total prize package of $100,000 in cash and merchandise, ISC offers its entrants the unprecedented opportunity to have their music heard by some of the most prominent members of the music industry. Deadline for submission is September 15, 2005. ISC past and present judges include: Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20); Andy Summers (The Police); Sean "P. Diddy" Combs; B.B. King; Clint Black; Pat Metheny; David Hidalgo (Los Lobos); Aaron Lewis (Staind); Five For Fighting; Monte Lipman (President, Universal Records); Arif Mardin (VP/GM, Manhattan Records); Alan Meltzer (President, Wind-Up Records); Michael McDonald (President, ATO Records); Tara Griggs-Magee (Exec.
