Mark O'Leary Big Fun/On the Corner Mark O'Leary performed live with both Jack DeJohnette and Billy Hart, both of whom drummed on Big Fun and On the Corner. The Modal structures and polyrhythms employed during these concerts were evocative of Big Fun. The funky grooves and anticipated syncopations during these concerts originated from On the Corner. Miles Davis had a profound impact on the music of these concerts and Jack DeJohnette and Billy Hart amongst him most prodigious alumni. |
