Christone "Kingfish" Ingram Brings His Blues to Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival September 21` Guitarist and singer Christone “Kingfish” Ingram is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young blues talents of his generation. Ingram, who lit up the stage at the 2018 and 2022 Highmark Blues and Heritage Festivals, makes a return visit at the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (PIJF) co-presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield on Sunday, September 21. The concert is free on Liberty Avenue in front of the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) in downtown Pittsburgh. VIP seating and experience are available for purchase. At just 26 years old, Ingram – a GRAMMY Award winner for his 2021 album 662 – has taken the music world by storm, earning widespread acclaim for his masterful guitar work, soulful vocals, and electrifying stage presence. His 2023 release, Live in London, is a powerful showcase of his performance energy, but fans are waiting for his newest venture, Hard Road, scheduled for release on his own Red Zero Records just five days after he leaves Pittsburgh. The first single from the new record, “Voodoo Charm, ” is streaming now.
