Tim Lyddon trio at the deer head inn The Tim Lyddon trio will perform at the Deer Head in on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Pianist Tim Lyddon is returning to the Deer Head Inn after more than a 20 year hiatus from performing on the East Coast. In that Time, Mr. Lyddon has performed in Houston, Phoenix, Tokyo, Yokohama, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has just come back to Pennsylvania to perform again. Tim Lyddon has performed with flutist Sam Most, drummers Chuck Flores, Dick Berk, Eliot Zigmund and Billy Mintz. He has also performed with bassists Derek Oles, Steve LaSpina, Scott Lee, Juini Booth. He has released 2 Cds under his name, Ive Traveled So Far and Shades of People. Both garnered much attention and praise. The trio performing at the Deer Head Inn features one of the best drummers around- Billy Mintz has toured with jazz artists such as Lee Konitz, Eddie Daniels, Harold Danko, Mose Allison, Mark Murphy, and Charles Lloyd. Lately he can be found playing regularly at smalls and Mezzrow with several groups including the Alan Broadbent trio. Accompanying Mr Lyddon on bass for this outing is the Poconos own Paul Rostock. Mr. Rostock has played and recorded with Maynard Ferguson, Jesse and Urbie Green and Frank Sinatra Jr. He is a fixture here in the Poconos, playing with just about everyone. Featured on the gig will be mostly standard tunes from the Great American Songbook along with a few Lyddon originals. "Lyddon combines hands with heart and mind.
