Cosmopolitan rising star Shraddha Pai & The Prismaticks Release Debut EP "Into the Moonlight"

Shraddha Pai and her band, The Prismaticks, are thrilled to announce
the release of their debut EP, Into the Moonlight. This four-track collection combines a love for classic
pre-1960s jazz with the band’s unique brand of cosmopolitan, stylish, and escapist repertoire.
The EP features a mix of covers of beloved jazz standards and an original composition. Included are
reinterpretations of iconic tracks such as the swinging Disney classic, "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat", the
vibrant, "Brazil", and the romantic, "La Vie en Rose". The title track, "Into the Moonlight", is an evocative
and moody ballad that reflects on the emotional gifts of lost love.
Shraddha Pai’s voice is a standout, with a versatile style that moves from silken smooth to brassy and
electric, capturing the essence of the Jazz Era while bringing a contemporary, soulful interpretation to
each song. Her captivating vocal style is a perfect match for the band's elegant arrangements. A dynamic
live performer who sings in languages as diverse as English, French, Hindi, and Portuguese, Shraddha is
also an established singer in the Indian community in the GTA. In February 2025, Shraddha performed
before an audience of 500 at the Toronto Pavilion with the Bollywood band, “The Culture Criminals”.
The Prismaticks are known to bring Bollywood swing tunes to life in their live performances around
Toronto. In 2024, Shraddha was a runner-up in the prestigious Panorama Idol contest, further solidifying
her reputation as a rising talent.
The band features top musicians from the Toronto jazz scene, including Glenn Anderson on drums (“Red
Hot Ramble”), Nathaniel Edgar on keys, and Gram Whitty on bass. The band recorded the EP at
Marquee Sound Studio in Toronto.
The official music video for "Into the Moonlight" is now available on YouTube and gives listeners a
