Dirk Schloemer’s Ornah Mental - NEUN Celebrating its 25th year of existence – the project was already founded back in 2001 by Dirk Schlömer (Ton Steine Scherben, Das Zeichen) – Ornah Mental dedicates itself to the “groove”. And this is already the ninth time. Because "Neun" (Nine) is indeed the ninth album by the rhythm faction hailing from Berlin-Kreuzberg, which has been weaving and knotting Afro, Dub, Space & Krautrock into a flying sonic tapestry for a quarter of a century, and it's a joy to behold. A good two and a half years after the double album "Strong And Stable", Ornah Mental now returns with "Neun", a good 77-minute trip into transcendent, psychoactive states of vibration that once again inspire you to fly. But with "Neun" Dirk also celebrates life and being alive – because groove and spirit are the ultimate signposts in chaotic times – they urge us to keep our heads up and our feet on the ground! With the epic groove'n psychedelic monsters "Afro-Mental" and "OM Dub", positive vibrations are conveyed and distributed, which are all the more important in dark times like these.
