Sol Roots performs award winning Funk, Soul, and Blues in Alexandria VA On Friday March 7, the Sol Roots trio performs a night of dynamic funk, upbeat jazz, deep blues and soul, and hypnotic rhythms at Two Nineteen in Old Town Alexandria, VA. The Sol Roots band performs a mix of New Orleans influenced funk, upbeat jazz, deep blues and soul, and hypnotic rhythms. Known for his ferocious guitar skills and soulful vocals, Sol has toured around the world with many musical legends. The Sol Roots band have shared the stage with acts such as Jon Cleary, Soulive, Dumpstaphunk, The Wood Brothers, Sonny Landreth, Robert Randolph, Eric Lindell, Roosevelt Collier, Cory Henry, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Shemekia Copeland, Jackie Greene, New Orleans Suspects and more. Guided by a deep admiration for his musical mentors and a passion for Universal Music, Sol emerges with a distinctive, powerful voice, accompanied by a talented band of musicians.
