Garbin’s music is a captivating blend of intricate rhythms, rich harmonies, and emotive storytelling with diverse influences. The title track features Garbin’s sitar—an instrument he fell in love with after a trip to India—which replaces his guitar and brings a fresh, organic sound to the jazz quintet. The rest of the program spans a wide range of musical styles, from the Latin and African grooves in “Rolling Hills” to the Brazilian and Cuban influences of “Simi’s Bossa” and “Anomisericordo.” Garbin also explores smooth-jazz funk in “DSD” and pays tribute to Joe Satriani in “Almost Forgotten – Like Satch.” The atmospheric “Into the Sunset, ” with its Pat Metheny-inspired harmonies, offers a reflective and dramatic finish to the set.

Joining Daniel Garbin onstage is a stellar ensemble: Camila Cortina (piano), Hashem Assadullahi (alto sax), Matt Geraghty (bass), Varun Das (drums). Join them on a journey through jazz, world music, and personal expression with Daniel Garbin’s guitar solos serving as a powerful emotional centerpiece!
