BRAZILIAN JAZZ WITH MAUCHA ADNET & DUDUKA DA FONSECA Friday, April 5th 7:00 & 9:00 PM at Maureen's Jazz Cellar BRAZILIAN JAZZ, SAMBA, & JOBIM featuring Maucha Adnet (Vocals), with the Trio Bossa Always Nova: Helio Alves (Piano), Gili Lopes (Bass), and Duduka Da Fonseca (Drums) at Maureen's Jazz Cellar, 2 North Broadway Nyack, NY Friday, April 5 Shows at 7:00 & 9:00pm Vocalist Maucha Adnet has collaborated with Charlie Byrd, Eliane Elias, Gilberto Gil, and spent a decade touring and recording with Antonio Carlos Jobim. Pianist Hello Alves has appeared with Joe Henderson, Yo-Yo Ma, Sadao Watanabe, Airto Moreira & Flora Purim, and Paquito D'Rivera, among many others. Drummer/percussionist Duduka Da Fonseca has long been recognized as one of the great masters of Brazilian percussion. He has appeared on over 200 albums and performed with artists such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Astrud Gilberto, Gerry Mulligan, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Mann, and Phil Woods to name just a few. |
