For Your LATIN GRAMMY® Consideration ANTONIO ADOLFO BruMa - Celebrating Milton Nascimento

On this album, Antonio Adolfo brings still more excellence to the music of Milton Nascimento.
Aquiles Rique Reis - Jornal do Brasil (BR)

Adolfo’s harmonic liberties with Milton’s songs are evident in the dense note clusters of his horn chorales for trumpet/flugelhorn, alto, tenor and trombone, for instance, on the ballads “Cais” and “Encontros E Despedidas.” He also alters the songs’ rhythmic forms, recasting the famous “Nada Será Como Antes” as a jazz shuffle and “Fe Cega, Faca Amolada” in the quadrilha style (a fast-paced version of a Brazilian square dance).
Allen Morrison - Downbeat Magazine

Antonio Adolfo breathes new life into the work of the maestro in a time when Milton Nascimento’s vision and voice should not be forgotten.
Travis Rogers Jr - The Sentinel

The word “bruma" is Portuguese for mist, but the album’s title appears as BruMa, taking the first syllable of the names of two towns, Brumadinho and Mariana, destroyed in disastrous floods in 2019 and 2015.
Bruce Crowther - Jazz Journal (UK

This is a tribute from one Brazilian master to another that is filled with emotional energy and extroverted vision.
Pierre Giroux - All About Jazz

BruMa: Celebrating Milton Nascimento is more than an homage to the famous composer. It is a beautiful, artistic statement from a prolific and formidable composer/arranger and a renowned keyboardist in his own right. Mike 1985 - Jazz and Blues

BruMa is perfectly placed to provide an appreciation of Milton Nascimento which can be thoroughly enjoyed by anyone who enjoys great Latin Jazz. Kev Rowland - House of Program “Bruma” is an exceptional, marvelously performed recording that will touch listeners’ heads and hearts.
Bob Weinstock - In a Blue Mood.

Antonio Adolfo is himself a treasure.
Travis Rogers, Jr - The Jazz Owl

With all the respect and love that Antonio Adolfo has for his hero, he has arranged and played this wonderful music, endeavoring to repaint the solid structure with his own bright colors and artistic shading. You will enjoy the flavor of each tune and feast at the table of Antonio Adolfo, tasting each delicious bite of rhythm and harmony, and enjoying the rich succulence of every song arrangement. Adolfo’s modern jazz sensibilities and arranger skills are the perfect ingredients for creating a meal of music fit for queens and kings to devour. Dee Dee McNeil - Musical Memoirs
