| Cryptic Studios Moves into a New Era of Growth Cryptic Studios has moved to a larger location in Los Gatos, California. The relocation is precipitated by a significant growth in staff to create multiple massively multiplayer online projects. Cryptic Studios' new location is in the heart of the game development community in the San Francisco Bay Area. Measuring 35,000 square feet with plans to nearly double in size, the office offers ample room for the committed team of developers to play games and foster creativity. Since the company prides itself on producing cutting-edge content, Cryptic Studios is installing a state-of-the-art sound studio for the company's composers and sound designers. Designed by the Walters-Storyk Design Group (known for creating high-end recording studios for Jimi Hendrix, Green Day, and Alicia Keys), the three suites will accommodate accurate 5.1 surround sound mixing and monitoring of multiple video sources. The largest of the three rooms will also include provisions for 7.1, along with a motorized drop-down projection screen. In tandem with the new location, Cryptic Studios has unveiled a new website, where visitors can take a tour of the new office space and explore the company's groundbreaking games.
