Glu Mobile Signs Atari's Centipede Title

Glu Mobile has announced the impending launch of the classic arcade title, Centipede, owned by Atari Interactive and licensed by Atari. Centipede will be the first Atari retro title to launch through Glu's new extended partnership with Atari under which Glu will develop and publish some of the world's most famous arcade classics to mobile. The mobile version of Centipede, which will launch in multiple regions around the world beginning in the first quarter of 2007, is in the final stages of development for mobile phones.

While the game play and graphics of Centipede capture the essence of the original game, Glu has incorporated 21st century elements including additional themes, power ups, and upgrades in graphics, control and functionality.
