| Backbone Entertainment Unleashes Pherone Backbone Entertainment has announced that it is officially launching "Pherone", an all-new original comic property that it first revealed at Comic-Con in 2005. "Pherone" will debut in the January 2007 issue of Heavy Metal Magazine, and will be published as an ongoing series in the magazine for four issues. The series will culminate in the fourth issue as a 48-page graphic novel in a special edition of the magazine. Following Eve, a dangerously seductive woman on the edge of her sanity, "Pherone" weaves a dark storyline filled with espionage, mystery, and suspense. Armed with a killer body and a killer's mind, the femme fatale must hunt down clues to rediscover her own troubled past, bringing violence and danger to anyone who crosses her path. "Pherone" features the art of Viktor Kalvachev, Senior Art Director at Backbone Emeryville, and the writing of Patrick Baggatta, an award-winning game designer.
