Folks, we are on a countdown to destiny. In a little less than three weeks the Shady O' Grady's Rising Star contest will end. Have you submitted your song yet? From now until August 25th Shrapnel Games is looking for the best, the greatest, the most super-awesome unsigned musical groups in the country-- nay, the world-nay, the whole freaking universe. If you're a blues, country, folk, jazz, pop, punk, rap, and/or ska artist we want to hear your songs. Submit as many as you want. If you've been sitting on a six-hour folk/rap/blues opera about the day the commune's John Deere tractor got shot up in a drive-by shooting, well, dust it off and let us hear it. After the initial submission period our pool of highly qualified judges will eliminate any obvious songs that just don't fit (hmm, okay, so maybe that six hour folk/rap/blues opera should stay dusty.). After that, songs will be posted online for the public to vote upon, with the top choices becoming part of the legend that is Shady O'Grady's Rising Star. And what, pray tell, is that legend? Shady O'Grady's Rising Star is an upcoming computer game for the Windows operating system published by Shrapnel Games and designed by Gilligames.
